Great Barrier Reef

Stretching over 2000 kilometres in length and visible from outer space, the Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven wonders of the world and said to be the world’s largest living structure. This marvellous stretch of pristine reef features an abundance of bright, unique hard and soft corals. A snorkellers and divers paradise! It is home to countless species of colourful fish, molluscs and starfish, plus turtles, dolpins, and even whales.

Each year during winter, humpback whales migrate from Antarctic waters, pass through South Island New Zealand, to the warm waters of the Whitsundays for calving. The naturally formed and magnificent Heart Reef is located within our Whitsundays playground and really is an incredible sight to see when viewed from the air. To best admire this brilliant coral formation, a Helicopter or Seaplane flight is the way to go. Quite a romantic spot to surprise a loved one… perhaps with a dream proposal?
